"What a..." is a common and fixed expression in English to express one's awe or surprise. It works well with singular nouns:

  • What a lovely song!
  • What a surprise!

However, what is to say when one wants to exclaim about a plural form of a noun such as people.

  • What a lovely people
  • What lovely people?

I bet there is a solution. Would someone make the matter clear for me, please?

What lovely people!

What lovely chairs!
