Yes it's a real tragedy.

I think the earthquake was actually near Sumatra, Indonesia.

Said to have been the strongest earthquake since 1941, it has affected people all around the Indian Ocean and even coastal areas of Africa.

Yesterday, Monday, I read over 10,000 people had died. Today's news said over 20,000. The death toll is rising by the hour.

Lets hope international aid is allowed into the countries and provinces where it is needed, and that it gets to the areas it should quickly.
it's very bad indeed.

I live in Turkey. I witnessed the earthquake of Turkey in 1999. At least 30.000 people were died. Emotion: sad

My company has a factory in Sri Lanka so I used to travel to there quite a lot in the past few years. The people there are so kind and friendly. I really feel sorrow about the disaster happened in this beautiful country. I wish my colleagues and their families were not injuired and missed ....
Wednesday the toll is up to 60,000 and rising faster by the hour.
International aid is also flowing fast to help with this, the worst EVER natural disaster.
