A notice would say like:

please note that the class is cancelled due to some reason.

The make up class will be at some day.

And what would be some good closings after that?

Well, those are not good, either, but no 'closing' is needed for a posted notice. I suggest simply this:

This class has been cancelled. A makeup class will be scheduled later.
Thanks for answering,

What if you consider this as a short letter or an email to the students?

It sounds a little lacking to me to conclude like above.

Yes, it is. If you are emailing:

Dear students,

Our English 101 class on October 29th has been cancelled. A makeup class will be scheduled later.

See you at our next class on November 5th.

Best regards,

Thank you Mister Micawber. It looks nice now.
Dear students, due to jury duty I will not be able to make class today (11/10). There is an assignment posted on blackboard and must be completed by Thursday. Have a happy Veterans day. I hope to see you all Thursday!

(Veterans Day is not a happy time!)

Dear students,

Class has been cancelled for Tuesday, Aug 29 due to flooding in my area. Posted an assignment on blackboard, see you next week.
