The CRF's produce is "green", made within the country and divided into 10 lines, with the Alcohol Series being the most popular. The Exotic Series--with Sichuan pepper, red bean, cheese and other flavors--also does well and is fun to taste. And for chocolate snobs, who think that they have a better knowledge of chocolate than others, the Connoisseur Series uses cocoa beans from Togo, Cuba, Venezuela , and Ghana, among others.

The words "chocolate snobs" probably refer to people who____
  A. are particular about chocolate B. know little about cocoa beans
  C. look down upon others D. like to try new flavors

Hi

Strictly speaking, a snob is a member of the upper working class / lower middle class who cares too much about their social place. They like to think that there are people below them

So the answer should be C

If they are only a snob about chocolate, I suppose the answer could be A

Sorry, I am a little bit confusing. In this particular case, which is more in line with the original, C or A? Thank you in advance!

By definition a snob is "one who has an offensive air of superiority in matters of knowledge or taste". That argues for answer C. I can see arguments for A as well, however.

In other words, I would select answer C, but if the answer key had A, I wouldn't be especially surprised.

I see! Thank you again!
The answer is A. The writer is poking fun at the most fanatical chocolate lovers by calling them "snobs". Nobody in their right mind could be seriously snobbish about candy. It like calling someone a licorice fiend or a peanut nut.

I must know a lot of people who are not in their right mind. Emotion: smile

I agree. Snob is being used as meaning aficionado.
