There is a sentence I don't quite understand.

I saw a sentence which was "I'm proud of my sister's green thumb, but the dirt under her jfingernails is embarrassing."

What does GREEN THUMB mean? I think it is a idiom or slang which I don't get it.

What does the whole sentens mean with the GREEN THUMB?

'She has a green thumb' means that she is good at gardening, good with plants.
