I'm wondering the meanings of "only part way" from the article I'll add to this post.
I think, simply "part way" means "at the end of something", but with "only", I can't figure out.

"Every star visible" means "you can see every start"?

I can't figure out the meanings of "taking."

Could you tell me, please?

"We were only part way through our shared bottle of beer" means that they had started drinking the beer but had not yet finished it.
