Hi,

Will you rephrase the sentence below? I can't picture it, especially the "it lifts up" part. What lifts up? in the middle of what?

The front desk is stained white Formica, it lifts up in the middle and has a swing out door.

If you need it, the place that this writing is describing is here:

Thanks in advance,

Yes I can see your problem. The phrase does not make it clear what exactly "lifts up".

"it lifts up in the middle" the "it" here refers to the front desk.

A part of the surface at the centre of the front desk lifts up and (probably) folds over onto itself. A panel in the front section then opens outwards ("a swing out door"). This gives access for the receptionist to walk behind the front desk.

Can you imagine this now?
