If a product has some 'benefits', it follows that is will have some drawbacks (possibly). I need to find a word that is not seen as a negative such as 'drawbacks' but it must not have a particularly negative meaning.

Currently the document that I have to rewrite has 'benefits' and 'disbenefits' as a title and this to me is not very good English.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

btw, disbenefit is a very commonly used word. it can be found in the meriam webster dictionaries.

I've never heard this word in my life.

After Googling it, I wonder if it is used in British English.

I also wonder if it is some kind of specialized jargon used in government planning documents.

The precise opposite of benefit is disadvantage, the way I see it.
Thank you! I had the same question and cost was the perfect word I was looking for.
Disadvantage, problem, negative aspect, hitch, weakness, shortcoming, downside.

Here's a tip: You don't have to go on this website just to find out synonyms. Many websites feature synonym subsitutes. Here are some of the best synonym websites that I use:

With google, you can just type synonym for disadvantage, or whatever you need a synonym for. If none of these websites suits your tastes, search on google for synonym websites. Hope this helps. Good luck on your document!

I understand that disbenefits is not good english. If this was for school or work, it might be jugded. I think that drawbacks would make good sense.
drawbacks
I think the correct word would be disadvantage but not sure.

You could ditch the word benefit and title your work as "Pros and Cons", i hope this helps.
