Hi
In my country(Turkiye) students from age 6 to 13-14 attend the same school at the same time. In many schools where there aren't sufficient rooms students are divided into two groups "morning group" and "afternoon group". What about in your countries? I would like to learn the systems in your countries and if you reply I'd be very happy...
Thanks
In France, school is mandatory from 6 to 16.
but from 3 to 6, kids can go to school, from 8.30am to 4.30pm, in kindergarden school.
from 6 to 10, in elementary school, they go to school from 8.30am to 4.30 pm. this school has 5 grades, depending on the age of the children.
from 11 to 14 or 15, it is middle school, with 4 grades, and here times schedules vary depending on days and classes.
after 15, it's high school, and the organisation is pretty much the same as the one in middle school.
Every year kids change their classroom, but during a year they stay with the same teacher and classmates.
Thanks Amandine. I also want to learn if the students from age 6-16 share the same school or they go to different school...
Students: We have free audio pronunciation exercises.
no, they go to different schools, which are kindergarden, elementary school, middle school, high school.
Hi Hoca!
Where I live, (KY, USA) school is madatory from ages 5-18. When the kids are 5, they go to kindergarten in the elementary school. Grades 1-5 are elementary school (ages 6-11). Grades 6-8 are middle school (ages 12-14). Grades 9-12 are high school (ages 15-18). Each grade normally has separate rooms sometimes 4-5 rooms per grade. Each level of school is in a different building.

Best Wishes,
Sarah

It's a bit different in Indonesia. We have kindergarten and high school, but school is only mandatory in elementary school and middle school. Kindergarten is referred as grade 0, divided to small zero (age 4) and big zero (age 5). Elementary school is grade 1-6 (ages 6-11), middle school is grade 7-9 (ages 12-14), and high school is grade 10-12 (ages 15-17).
