Are there any differences between 'when I am grown up' and 'when I grow up' ? I think the first one sounds a bit weird but then I have seen this elsewhere.

Thank you.

Best wishes,

2 sentences are acceptable the former used as an adjective whereas the latter as a verb.

eg. When I am a grown-up, I can do a lot of things that only adults can do. ( grown-up here means grown-up boy )

eg. When I grow up, I will work hard to become a billionaire.
