Hello,
Would you mind to tell me which one rhythmically sounds fair?
1- The woman was bafled; an ape of Benares was desperatly trying to save the dragon from the spear of Saint Michel on top of the town hall.
2-The.....................................................................................................on top of the spire of the town hall.

Thank you

The three 'of' possessives make it to clumsy, XM. Something like

'The woman was baffled: an ape of Benares was desperately trying to save the dragon from St. Michel's spear on top of the town hall spire.'

or

'The woman was baffled: an ape of Benares was on top of the town hall spire, desperately trying to save the dragon from St. Michel's spear.'
