Hello. I made a dialog. Would you correct it if there is any mistake?

F: How may I help you?

M: I have [know] the name of the author, but I can't remember
the title.

F: Okay. Please input the author's name here, and push the return key.

M: I found it! I've been looking for this book.

Thank you.

The dialog is fine as is, but I'll give you an alternate version anyway.
F: Can I help you?
M: I have the name of the author, but not the title.
F: That's all right. Just put the author's name in here and hit "Enter".
M: That's it! It worked! That's the book I've been looking for.

Students: Are you brave enough to let our tutors analyse your pronunciation?
Thank you. You helped me a lotEmotion: smile
"input" sounds technical and means feeding mass information into the computer compared to just "a word or two".

So "put in" as CalifJim said, or "type (in)" would be better in this case.
