I have made up the example below.

(1) I said to John, "I am planning to buy a home. Do you know any real estate agent who oversees houses or apartments in your city?"

Most of my non-native English friends think "oversee" is the wrong word. They suggest "... real estate agent manages houses or apartments...".

I am not sure which verb is correct. If neither is correct, what would be a right verb? Thank you very much.
