Hi! Are 5 and 6 requests and are they the most polite? Thanks, Fulvio

1. Would you like to go to a baseball game with me on the third of May? (Polite)

2. Do you want to got to a baseball game with me on the third of May? (Less Polite)

3. Can you open the door for me? (Less Polite)

Yes, they are requests.

They are polite enough without going into extremely formal turns of phrase. When you speak very formally, which I don't necessarily advise in ordinary circumstances, you can almost always think of something even more polite.

If it's not asking you to go out of your way too much, would you be so very kind as to do me a huge favor by opening the door for me?

But that's called "going overboard". It may be seen as insincere.

(I wonder, though, if there is any way to ask someone to buy you a meal that isn't cringeworthy.)
