Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you check them?

No. 1 at the hospital

M: What seems to be the problem? [ What brings you here? ]

F: I have a sore throat and diarrhea.

M: Did you check your temperature?

F: Yes, ( I have a fever of ) 38 degrees ( Celsius [ centigrade ]).

No. 2

M: Are you going out?

F: Yeah, I am. Why?

M: Would you get me masks for hay fever [ pollen allergy ] ?

F: Sure, I can get them at a convenience store. How many ( masks ) do you want?

Thank you! kenta

Hi,

No. 1 at the hospital

M: What seems to be the problem? [ What brings you here? ]

F: I have a sore throat and diarrhea.

The doctor would typically just go ahead and check it himself.

M: Did you check your temperature?

F: Yes, ( I have a fever of ) 38 degrees ( Celsius [ centigrade ]).

No. 2

M: Are you going out?

F: Yeah, I am. Why?

M: Would you get me some masks for hay fever [ allergy masks ] ?

I've never heard anyone speak of such masks, so I don't know if we use them in my country.

The common name for these masks are "respirators". People who work in in dusty environments, and physicians, nurses and dentists use them

Hi,
Thanks.
Not something you'd get in a convenience store, then.

Clive
In China during the SARS outbreak, everyone seemed to be wearing them - convenience store, indeed!
Thanks for all of your replys, that makes me understand marks and respirators clearly. Yeah, clive, you are right, respirators are not usually sold in convenient store, even in China. During the SARS, nearly everyone was required to take respirator in public, and for the sake of safety, all of us will take the respirators offered by government, but not sold in convenient stores. So, even during SARS, in china, there are few respiartors sold in convenient stores.

Thank you, everyone.

In Japan more than half adults are allergic to pollen.

It is because there are too many cedar trees here.

In this season, a lot of people go to clinic.

We can buy masks everywhere, such as at convenience stores,

pharmacies, supermarkets.
