Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you check them, please?

No. 1

M: I happened to meet [ came across ] Mari and her sister this afternoon.

F: I haven't met her sister. What was she like?

M: She was very quiet. Quite different from Sally.

No. 2

M: Hello. May [ Could ] I speak to Mr. Kimura, please?

F: I'm afraid he just stepped out [ he's just away from his seat ]. Would you like to hold?

M: Well, may I leave a message, instead?

Thank you. kenta

No. 1

M: I happened to meet / I ran into Mari and her sister this afternoon. ('Come across' is normally of things, not people: 'I came across a new Italian restaurant...')

F: I haven't met her sister. What's she like?
M: She's very quiet. Quite different from Mari.

No. 2

M: Hello. May/Could I speak to Mr. Kimura, please?
F: I'm afraid he just stepped out / he's not in now. Would you like him to call you back? (We don't put callers on hold when the wherabouts of the recipient is unknown.)

M: Well, could/can I leave a message, instead?
