Hi, in this sentence, "Do you think Robin would stop at a bar during the day?", I'm wondering why the modal 'would' was used in there. In some grammar book, I read that the modal 'will' is used for a prediction, and that the modal 'would' is used for a prediction about a possible situation. Thanks!!
With no other context, it could be a prediction or a question about a past habit or a conditional statement.

Thanks Mister Micawber!

The context is: The Robin is a doctor, and her friend happens to see her go into a bar during the day. Her friend coundn't believe what she saw. Robin is working at a general hospital and it's not like her to drink at bars during working hours.
It's a question about habit.
Thanks, Mister Micawber!!!
