Most people do not care enough about environmental issues .to what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

While human beings are responsible for a variety of environmental damage, most of them pay no attention to the impacts of such enormous problems affecting their lives. So, I utterly agree that people are getting reckless about the environment.

Two significant damages caused by humans are pollution and waste. Some gases such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen monoxide and carbon dioxide, which are caused by exhaust fumes and gas emissions from factories, are increasing the intensity of global warming. Similarly, chemical waste and trash which are thrown out by people contaminate the earth, which leads to the demise of so many creatures. To use a mostly-seen example, fish and seagulls’ bodies occasionally come ashore as a consequence of water pollution.

Although the drawbacks of such contamination are influencing human lives, the world isn’t convinced enough to make any effort to alleviate these problems at all. Personally, I have met several people who believe throwing garbage in the streets creates job opportunities and brings benefits, especially to the street-sweepers, which I strongly disagree with. Not all waste can be cleaned completely from the ground before it influences plants and animals. Gums, small plastic materials and chemicals of low-level toxicity are some dangerous items that are often ignored. In other words, the humans’ smallest beliefs or actions can leave a tremendous repercussion on all life cycles and each natural habitat.

In conclusion, we are facing several huge environmental problems that put our lives at risk but people are indifferent about them while they have to take steps to reduce the causes.

While human beings are responsible for a variety of environmental problems, damage, [ 1] it has been said that [ 2] many or even most of them people pay [ 2] little or no attention to the impacts of such enormous problems. affecting their lives. So, I utterly agree that people are getting reckless about the environment.

[ 1]: You need to first present the issue from a neutral perspective; then you can agree or disagree with it.

[ 2]: Qualify your sentences. Avoid absolute statements.

You need to organize and present your ideas a bit better. For example, most of your first body paragraph is off topic (not on target). You need to convince the reader that most people do not care about the environment. Write about that. Your second body paragraph has one good idea in it, but it needs more. You need to brainstorm and come up with evidence/examples to support your position; then you can organize those points, and write your essay. Try to make a list of such points and post them below. Do not write full sentence and do not worry about grammar for now. Just make a list of potentially useful points that can convince the reader.

hi, thank you so much for your guidance. actually I had lack of ideas so I thought It was ok to just explain the subject in one paragraph.

these are the ideas that comes to my mind at the moment but I don't think they are good or related enough to convince the reader.

1. recently extincted animals because of greedy hunters

2. shortage of water and sources of energy because of a society of consumerists

3. caring more about having an ostentatious life rather than protecting the environment

these are almost everything I can think of. I will be grateful if you give me any comment or idea that you think it would be better to write about

SaqarHi, thank you so much for your guidance. Actually I had lack of ideas, so I thought It was okay/OK to just explain the subject in one paragraph.

Aha! Let's learn something from this experience. It's not uncommon at all to encounter a block when trying to come up with ideas for an essay. One way out is to change your stance. Here, the question asks you "to what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?" This is a chance for you to write a "I partially agree" essay. Those are usually easier, because it is not difficult to come up with points on either side. So, let's use some of your points for one paragraph, and I'll help you with the second paragraph.

Agree

- the level of pollution is increasing

- species are still going extinct

- climate change and desertification continue unabated

Disagree

- many people/countries recycle much of their waste

- governments are trying to promote alternative energy sources

- more areas are getting designated as national parks

What you need to do now is write a topic sentence for each of those paragraphs. For example, in the first we can write:

On the one hand, there is much evidence that many people do not care about environmental issues.

What you do now is: take one point from the first list, present it to the reader; explain it and try to give an example, Then move on to the next point. Try to do that with just the first body paragraph and post it below. You might also want to take a look at my replies in the following links to get an idea about essay structure:
