Starting as a student, and especially one going to study abroad is a thrilling moment. The process requires a good share of paperwork, including preparing all the necessary documentation to apply and meet all the given demands.

List of Important Documents for University Admission in 2023
This list includes the documents you will need to apply for an undergraduate program at the university.
Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months after graduation. Copies of passport (including electronic) should also be kept in an emergency.
2. High school diploma / equivalent.
Contrary to widespread belief, a high school diploma isn’t required in many states at the application stage. Still, you need to prepare your current school records.
3. Resume / CV.
Resume shows your previous experiences (such as projects, extra-curricular, volunteer work, certificates of awards or participation, etc.) that will contribute to your advancement in the chosen profession.
4. Transcripts and mark sheets.
US educational institutions require transcripts with scorecards and details about the courses taken. Transcript copies for 2-3 previous years of study are needed for 1 university.
5. Letters of recommendation (LOR).
These are the words of your professors or supervisors who share your achievements and academic progress. Two or three LORs are typically required, depending on the chosen program.
6. Entrance exam scorecards.
Scores of 1 or 2 tests can be expected, depending on the chosen program:
- GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)
- ACT (American College Testing)
- SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)
- MCAT (Medical College Admission Test)
Pass certificated and scores should be attached in every case.
7. Statement of purpose (SOP).
This is a letter that explains your background and reasons for studying. It also needs you to mention career prospects after graduation.
It depends on the university’s policy and here, you can expect an essay on a defined or free topic. One to five essays can be required. Here, students seek help often and resort to expert assistance such as edit my essay help.

9. Proof of funds.

When applying online and paying the fee, you will get a confirmation email and be redirected to the confirmation web page. Make copies of both, as well as all of the documents mentioned above.
This list is followed by English proficiency exam scores for international students: TOEFL or IELTS. In addition, candidates who already have some experience in the labor market or went through an internship can come up with recommendation letters from corresponding organizations.
