What's the difference between Meet & Visit ?
 One would usually visit someone they are acquainted with. For example:
I will visit my grandmother next week.
One can use "to meet" or "to meet with."
"To meet" usually means that you are becoming acquainted with someone for the first time:
I met her ...

 #3 isn't really correct - a 'hot potato' is used to mean something no one wants to deal with. Something that gets passed around, and on quickly as no one wants to handle it too long (imagine trying to hold a hot potato!) Emotion: smile
